The Environ C-Quence Series: Your Next Step After AVST
Share
You've built your vitamin A foundation. Now it's time to amplify it.
What is the Environ C-Quence Series?
The Environ C-Quence series is the advanced vitamin A system designed for skin that has already been conditioned through the AVST step-up programme. Where AVST builds your skin's tolerance and receptor capacity for vitamin A, C-Quence takes that foundation and pushes results further — with higher concentrations of vitamin A combined with antioxidants, peptides, and vitamin C to address more advanced signs of ageing, pigmentation, and skin resilience.
Think of AVST as the foundation and C-Quence as the architecture built on top of it.
How C-Quence Differs from AVST
Both systems use Environ's signature step-up philosophy — you progress through levels as your skin adapts — but C-Quence introduces a more complex formulation approach:
- Higher vitamin A concentration — C-Quence contains significantly more retinyl acetate than the AVST range, targeting deeper dermal remodelling
- Vitamin C (ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate) — a stable, oil-soluble form of vitamin C that works synergistically with vitamin A to brighten, firm, and protect
- Peptides and growth factors — support collagen synthesis and skin repair at a more advanced level
- Antioxidant complex — neutralises free radical damage while the vitamin A works to rebuild
Who is C-Quence For?
C-Quence is not a starting point. It is designed for skin that has completed or is well established on the AVST programme — typically AVST 3, 4, or 5. If you attempt C-Quence without the AVST foundation, you are likely to experience irritation, sensitivity, and poor results.
Ideal candidates for C-Quence:
- Have been using Environ AVST consistently for 6–12+ months
- Are targeting more advanced concerns: deep lines, loss of firmness, uneven skin tone, or sun damage
- Want to maintain and deepen the results they've already achieved with AVST
- Have skin that tolerates vitamin A well and is ready for a higher concentration
The C-Quence Step-Up System Explained
Like AVST, C-Quence follows a four-level progression:
C-Quence 1 — Entry level for skin transitioning from AVST. Introduces the C-Quence formulation at a manageable concentration while the skin adapts to the new ingredient profile.
C-Quence 2 — Increased vitamin A and vitamin C activity. Skin tone begins to even, and collagen stimulation becomes more pronounced.
C-Quence 3 — Advanced remodelling. Targets deeper lines, significant pigmentation, and loss of elasticity. Most users notice visible firming at this level.
C-Quence 4 — The highest concentration in the range. Reserved for skin that is fully conditioned and seeking maximum anti-ageing results. Often used in conjunction with professional Environ treatments.
How to Transition from AVST to C-Quence
The transition should be gradual, not abrupt. Here's the approach we recommend at Celtic Spa:
- Complete at least 3–6 months on AVST 4 or AVST 5 before considering C-Quence
- Begin with C-Quence 1, even if you are on AVST 5 — the formulation is different and your skin needs time to adjust
- Use C-Quence every second night initially, alternating with your AVST moisturiser
- Progress to nightly use once your skin is comfortable — typically 4–6 weeks
- Move to C-Quence 2 when your skin shows no sensitivity and you feel ready
A skin consultation is strongly recommended before making the switch. Every skin is different, and the right timing matters.
Pairing C-Quence with Professional Treatments
C-Quence works exceptionally well alongside Environ's professional treatment range — particularly the Ionzyme DF Machine treatments available in-spa. The combination of advanced home care and professional treatments accelerates results significantly, particularly for concerns like deep pigmentation, acne scarring, and advanced photoageing.
At Celtic Spa, we design personalised treatment plans that combine your C-Quence home routine with targeted in-spa sessions for maximum impact.
